Welcome to The
Humble Egg Farm
The Humble Egg Farm has become a passion of mine. My current stock is filled with beautiful chickens that I’ve created over years of hard work. Explore my site and see all that I have to offer.

About me
My name is Trista and welcome to my website. I have officially become a NPIP Certified Clean Farm since 2024. This is a place where I can share my passions and tell you about me and my current flock. When I started owning my own chickens back in 2011 I had two hens, then I added a couple more, then couple more (yes, you know that chicken math thing), then started hatching and finally I realized what I wanted to do, I wanted to breed for both egg color and SOP. My current flock consist of Moss, BCM and Ermine Ameraucana. The moss eggers have taken years to achieve. I started out breeding olive eggers and after years of keeping selective stock and breeding back to darker gene breeds, are now beautiful and dark moss (still working in getting darker shades). My BCM is new for me and I’m working with some breeder stock and my own stock to create my own line of the darkest eggs. They are still definitely a work in progress. My last project I just added in 2024 is Ermine Ameraucana. I have really enjoyed hatching eggs I’ve received and I’ll be working with two different bloodlines to create my own line that is now been available since 2025. With my ermine line, you have a chance of hatching all 3 colors, Ermine (the black & white pattern), Black and Dominant white.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY FOR CHICKS
There is a 6 chick minimum to ship, 2 chick minimum if local. Your orders will include the approved chick box, nonslip pad, a light, 4 containers of grogel/crumbles and a heat pack (if needed) that lasts 96+ hours .
***Ermine Ameraucana come in all 3 colors; black, white and ermine; all orders will be a mix so please don't ask for custom colors.
***Moss Eggers do have a 50/50 chance of laying a dark brown egg because they are a cross of BCM and olive.
***BCM will lay many shades of dark brown, but I do breed for 7+ shade and incubate all my darkest eggs for hatching.
For chick orders I ONLY use USPS Express 1-2 day guarantee shipping which includes $100 of insurance and will be a flat rate of $90 per order. Anything over 25 chicks will require a second order. The chicks are NOT SEXED. If you want great service and fast turnaround to DNA test, please reach out to Knights Poultry Lab. They will help you out. https://www.knightspoultryandlab.com/
SHIPPING & DELIVERY FOR EGGS
Shipping prices are $30 for a dozen and $40 1+ dozen. UPS is used for egg shipments. Please let me know if you do not receive Saturday mail. Payment is due upfront. I ship within a couple days of the eggs being laid to keep freshness. After I have shipped your order, you will receive the tracking number by photo with ETA.
I don't issue refunds, replacements or cancellations on chicks or egg orders unless I am unable to complete an order within the selected shipping year. Your money can be used anytime, no expiration. You agree to the terms and conditions when placing an order and are to contact the postal service for any orders damaged or deceased upon arrival.
Shipping out of state will be weather dependent to make sure your chicks survive their journey. 🥰 Which means they may ship in the month that is safest for them. I will closely be monitoring weather to fulfill your orders quickly. Local or close destinations may ship sooner if weather is permitting. Please be patient with orders and let me know if you are wanting them in a specific month, due to schedules and I will do my best to fulfill that request. NOT PROMISED.
*****Customers will be added to the waiting list once full payment is received. This is to make sure my time is valued when working to put together your orders prior to shipment or pickup. It takes a lot of valued time to make all this happen and I appreciate your understanding. Contact me in case of conflict and you have ordered. I will notify you of your order prior to shipping or pickup. Once your chicks/eggs are out of my hands and have arrived at your local post office, they will notify you that your shipment is ready for pickup. I will have placed your phone number on the box with a HOLD FOR PICKUP. In the unfortunate event your order is damaged or show up deceased, you will need to notify your postal office and file a claim with them. This is very rare but possible. I include this above info only because I want my customers to know, upfront, the potential risk of packages going through the postal services.
I accept Venmo (friends and family only, last 4 of my number are 1209) and PayPal (friends and family). Please message me and make sure we connect, otherwise your order has not been received. https://venmo.com/u/Trista-Armstrong-2

Local pickup is available in Junction City, Or. I meet offsite near my farm to ensure the integrity of my farms’ biosecurity practices. Full payments are required for pickup orders also to be added to the waiting list. If I have extra chicks available, I will post those on my page.
POLICY FOR EGGS AND CHICKS
I package the eggs so they arrive safely, however I CANNOT guarantee your hatch rate. There are several factors that can affect your hatch. Shipping can be rough on eggs. I always recommend letting the eggs rest for 24 hrs with the point end down. I do not send replacement eggs or chicks. If eggs break during shipment, they are covered with insurance through the postal service! Please inspect the package before leaving the post office, if there is a problem please start a claim with them. There is NO GUARANTEE on hatching eggs. I also don’t guarantee the exact color of egg the chicks will lay, it all depends on the genetics. Same applies to chicks, if there is an unfortunate event and the chicks arrive deceased, immediately take out a claim with the postal service. Once the packages are out of my hands, I can't guarantee handling or how they are treated.
I encourage you to track your shipments progress and opt for ALL text or email tracking updates.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Happy Hatching
Thank you for all of your support!
