Black Copper Marans

My BCMs are working towards SOP and I will only place in the darkest eggs for hatching to continue to get darker lines. Potential for 7+ shades
 
My original lines came from Sage Acres and Bergs Fairytale Farm. 
 
As the fall arrives don't be surprised if the eggs get lighter as the pigment (protoporphyrin) can change from the hen and the amount of "ink" she produces on the egg. It is most prominent at the beginning of her laying cycle of the year.
